The National Union of Ghanaian Students (NUGS) Ukraine had their first ever general assembly meeting with its locals. The main drive of the meeting was to sharpen its focus on transforming the National Union of Ghanaian Student Ukraine and to make the union relevant for all by fostering unity between the local branches so as to achieve the set goals of this distinguished union.

Moreover, the various locals, led by their well-abled Presidents gave brief reports on the state of affairs of their respective cities such as the challenges, projects, achievements and how they have been running their locals so far. Based on that, the current administration of the NUGS Kharkov lead by Dr. Kodzo Asamany together with his diligent executives, stood tall among the rest and therefore were awarded at the general assembly meeting by the National President of the association His Excellency Mustafa Abdul Mumin as the Best City due to the enormous work done by the executives and the general membership in promoting the union.
