Rexford has won Media Personality of the year at the NUGS-KHARKIV “Ghana at 63 Independence celebration, handing over & Awards night” . The virtual event took place via zoom due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 and the continuous additions of quarantine and social distancing measures. Rexford was nominated in the category of; Most influential youth, Media personality of the year, Most promising youth and Face of NUGS

COVID-19 Hope For Africa Concert: Sarkodie, Stonebwoy,Efya Etal Billed

MultiChoice in Partnership with One Africa Global Foundation has Organised a virtual concert that happens to be a support in combating COVID-19 pandemic in Africa. This Continent virtual concert was slated to commence on 31st May from 6 pm on Africa Magic Family (DSTV Channel 154 and on GoTv Channel 102)The 3-hour televised special will feature performances by top African music artistes additionally as appearances by media icons and other prominent personalities on the continent. The star-studded line-up includes 2Baba, Sarkodie, Banky W, Betty G, Efya Nocturnal, Cobhams Keche, Adina, Denola Grey, Diamond Platnumz, MzVee, Jahprazah, Jeff Maximum, Kyee Benda, Osas Ighodaro, Princess Jnap Sessay, Praiz, and Waje, all of whom will give goodwill messages of hope and encouragement to each African, from the comfort and safety of their homes. Speaking on the partnership, Director, MultiChoice Ghana, Cecil Sunkwa Mills said: “As Africa’s biggest storyteller, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we operate. We are addicted to the event of the African continent as we still use the ability of entertainment to relinquish hope, enrich lives, and convey people together especially during these uniquely difficult times. This is why we are partnering with the One Africa Global Foundation to broadcast the COVID-19 Hope For Africa Concert in additional than 49 countries across a geographical area.” The funding raised from the concert is going to be dedicated to making sure the security and wellbeing of health care professionals across the continent who are on the front lines within the fight against the virus. These funds are going to be used as special interventions for accessible, functional medical equipment, COVID testing stations and private Protective Equipment (PPE) to reduce exposure to the virus. Chief military officer, One Africa Global Foundation, Paul Okoye said: “As the planet unites to fight this pandemic, Africa has to play its part. we’ve done well to this point but we will definitely do more together. This is why the One Africa Global Foundation ‘Hope for Africa’ COVID-19 Virtual benefit was put together for us to dig deep in our hearts and lend a hand to the Continent that has given most to the planet. You and that I and also the remainder of Africa can only play our roles diligently and hope. We are stronger together and flattening the curve won’t yield results if as individuals we don’t play our part. We at One Africa Global Foundation stand united with all citizens of our great land, to protect, preserve and empower Africa during this crisis”

FULL WINNERS OF NUGS-KHARKOV HANDING OVER AND AWARDS CEREMONY 2020.

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 and the continuous additions of quarantine and social distancing measures, the 63rd Independence Celebration Dinner, Awards Night and Handing Over Ceremony which supposed to happened on 28 March was postponed 24, May,2020.

This is to adhere to the quarantine measures and follow the social distancing rules to ensure the safety and protection of every individual and prevent and limit the spread of the virus. The 63 Ghana independence celebration, Handing Over Ceremony & Awards Night took place via zoom.

NUGS Kharkiv handed over with an award scheme in other to show appreciation and empower individuals who have the potential in whatever their doing and helping to promote the association in their own way.

NUGS-UKRAINE ELECTIONS: EVANS AMOATENG WINS PRESIDENTIAL SEAT

The National Union Of Ghanaian Student Ukraine just ended their national election on Saturday 23 May 2020 and Per declaration of results by the Electoral Commissioner of NUGS-Ukraine, Hon. Collins Takyi, the current Vice President in the Person Of Hon. Evans Amoateng emerged victorious and is designated as at now the President-Elect of NUGS-Ukraine.

WHO IS EVANS AMOATENG

Well Evans Amoateng is a fifth year medical student in Lviv, Ukraine. He served as a two-term President of NUGS LVIV for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 academic years.
During his second term of office as President of NUGS LVIV he was appointed as the Western Coordinator of NUGS UKRAINE. He was also chosen as the running-mate for H.E Mustapha Abdul Mumin Mohammed in the 2019 General Election and he serves as the National Vice President of NUGS UKRAINE.

A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.

Great Eid wishes to all Muslims, especially, Ghanaian students, local and abroad, you mean soo much to Us ( NUGS )

Eid- Mubarak also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast”, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan, For which our brothers and sisters have participated.

We first congratulate every Muslim Student for being able to pass through this fasting, during these times we have an open enemy, COVID-19. We are not in ordinary times to celebrate with the usual outdoor programs, kindly cope with the officially endorsed precautionary protocols. With joyous hearts we wish you all “Barikade Sala”…..

There is no greater blessing than that of Allah. There no greater happiness than that of attaining pure Bliss. May the light of the moon fall directly on you and Allah bless you with everything you desire today. Have a joyous Eid full of sparkling lights.
