TO THE STUDENTS OF AFRICA AND GHANA, NATIONAL UNION OF GHANA STUDENTS WRITES

Africa is the world’s youngest continent with over 400 million young people between the ages of 15 to 35 years. In order to achieve the Human Development Index in Africa, it is a necessity for the increase in investment in Africa’s socio-economic growth.

This year, the world marks Africa Union Day under extremely difficult circumstances as we grapple with the global COVID-19 pandemic, which threatens to derail the progress in African economies, education, health and other sectors.

The National Union of Ghana Students ( NUGS) wishes to extend it’s warmest regards to all members and the general public and would want to reiterate the fact that as students, it is incumbent on us to help fight against this deadly pandemic in every possible way.

Let’s also not forget about our roles in ensuring that we continue the good works started by some of our greatest fathers in bringing the African Continent together.

As students, we need to use the natural resources our continent is blessed with and the knowledge we’ve gained to help make Africa a better continent for us all.

A man can not sit down alone to plan for prosperity.
May this day renew our spirits as young Africans desirous for a better continent for ourselves and posterity.

Ayekoo!
