UPDATES 5 ON EVACUATING GHANAIAN STUDENTS (GRADUATES) FROM UKRAINE.

UPDATES RECEIVED FROM NUGS-UKRAINE TO GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO ARE WAITING TO GO HOME.

Upon speaking with the embassy, we were informed that the government of Ghana will no longer evacuate citizens and this will take effect from the 31st of July,2020. However, students(graduates) from Ukraine will be given an exception to travel on the 4th of August, 2020 to Ghana. Secondly, we have a full waive on the fee for the 14 days compulsory quarantine as well as the fee for the covid-19 test. These amounts have been covered by the government. Furthermore, there will be a meeting with the Turkish airlines officials tomorrow to finalize the cost for the flight ticket. There’s a high possibility that the flight will take off from Kharkov.

Questions which were asked?

1.After the 4th of August, when is the next possible evacuation date?

0. What do I do if I already have a return ticket?

0. I have a ticket booked on the 4th of August which is leaving from Lviv. What do I do?

0. Will there be a waive on the quarantine fee for the students who might come on later dates?

0. Where are we going to stay when we get to Ghana? Are we going to be grouped?

What are the measures in place? Please make your money ready in order to begin the purchase of the tickets from tomorrow.

Let’s kindly stay calm and tuned for updates.
