Ghanaian Born rapper Stormzy is sponsoring 30 black students at the University of Cambridge in the UK.
This is one of the ways the rapper is impacting lives with his talent and fame as a rapper in the United Kingdom.
In 2018 for instance, Stormzy in collaboration with HSBC Bank, UK and University of Cambridge gave 30 black students scholarship.
The good news, as was shared by Stormzy himself is that, another batch will have the one in a lifetime opportunity to pursue their dreams at the prestigious University.
The £20,000-a-year scholarships will fund tuition fees and maintenance costs for 10 new Black students each year for the duration of their degree courses at the University of Cambridge.
Stormzy took to his Facebook page to announce as follows:
For 30 more Black students to have the opportunity to study at University of Cambridge – the same year our initial 2018 scholars graduate – feels like an incredible milestone. Thank you to HSBC UK for their significant donation and of course, Cambridge University for always backing our mission. I hope this scholarship continues to serve as a small reminder to young Black students that the opportunity to study at one of the best universities in the world is theirs for the taking 🙏🏿❤️
